Slate & Slippers Distribution Drive As part of our ongoing commitment to uplift underprivileged communities, the Rotary Club of Siliguri Midtown organized a distribution drive for slates and slippers benefitting around 100 students studying in government schools in the remote villages around Thaurganj. These children come from economically disadvantaged families and often lack access to basic educational tools and footwear. We specifically chose Thaurganj for this initiative as it is a neglected region where few, if any, organizations have reached out to help. By providing these essential items, we aim to encourage school attendance, support hygiene, and foster a sense of dignity among young learners. This effort reflects our mission to bring meaningful change where it is needed the most.
